Home Authority Media Centre 2010 Media Releases NCA Launches Stakeholder Register

NCA Launches Stakeholder Register Print E-mail

The National Capital Authority today launched a online new register for key stakeholders.

The register will improve the NCA’s ability to quickly engage key community and stakeholder groups on specific matters of interest.

The NCA is calling for groups that have an interest in the work of the Authority to nominate themselves to the register. Groups that the NCA are encouraging to sign up to the register include:

  • community/resident associations;
  • professional associations;
  • industry groups;
  • heritage groups; and
  • community interest groups.

NCA Chairman Don Aitkin said this was another strong step in building closer ties with the community.

“The register of key stakeholders will enable the NCA to quickly and easily make contact with groups who are interested in our work.

“Engagement with key stakeholders does not replace public consultation, but offers an efficient mechanism for seeking a broad range of views on a particular topic”.

To sign up to the register, visit the NCA website at www.nationalcapital.gov.au.
