Bligh Voller Nield (BVN) is a renowned Australian architectural practice acknowledged for creative, award-winning design and sound professional expertise. Its portfolio of completed projects includes buildings not only in Australia but on several other continents.
More than a hundred design prizes have been awarded to the practice for its work in the last decade. These include some prestigious awards such as the Sir John Sulman Medal, awarded by the Royal Australian Institute of Architects (RAIA) (NSW Chapter), that BVN received for the RAAF Richmond 36/37 Squadron Headquarters Building in 2006, for the University of Technology Sydney Building 10 in 2003, for the Sydney Olympic Tennis Centre in 2000, and for the Architecture Studios Building at the University of Newcastle in 1997.
At a national level BVN has also won the RAIA's Interior Architecture Award three times in the last five years for projects including the National Australia Bank Headquarters in Melbourne and for Deutsche Bank in Sydney. Recently the RAAF Richmond project became the first building completed in Australia to gain a Green Building Council of Australia '5-green-star' rating for three separate categories - office design, office as-built and interior fitout.
